So if you are looking for any destination for the seeing ‘elusive cat’, choose Bera. Located near Jawai Bandh, Bera is a wilderness paradise.
The region is blessed with a panoramic landscape. It is a home to Aravalli Hills which are dotted by scrubland vegetation such as cactus and keekar. Hillocks with caves present a perfect habitat for leopards. The Jawai River and Jawai Dam are located close to the village forming a lake like structure.
The region enjoys profuseness of biodiversity. The forest is a home to mammals such as leopards, sloth bear, nilgai, Indian grey mongoose, jungle cat and hyena. Birds found here include Pelican, Greylag Goose, Robin Accentor, Demoiselle Crane, Bar-headed Goose and Indian Partridge. The region is also famous for elusive crocodiles.
